The short version

  • Tiyisa helps you track, remember and see your own numbers side by side. It doesn't give medical advice.
  • Everyday tracking is free. Plus is an optional subscription you can cancel any time.
  • Your entries are yours. The privacy policy explains how we look after them.
  • The app sends anonymous usage statistics and error reports so we can fix and improve it. You can switch them off in Settings.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Synthetiq (Pty) Ltd, the company that makes Tiyisa. By using Tiyisa, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act.

What Tiyisa is

Tiyisa is a tracker and reminder app for people on GLP-1 weight-loss medicines, TRT and peptides. It stores, counts and shows what you add, sets it side by side in weekly and monthly summaries, and offers general information from named, published sources. It is for tracking and learning only.

Where Tiyisa describes Ask, it says the same thing: Ask finds and explains passages in Tiyisa's cited information library, in plain words. It does not give medical advice, and it never looks at your own entries.

Tiyisa is not medical advice

Tiyisa is not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, it never recommends a medicine or a dose, and it never tells you what your numbers mean for your health. The medication-level chart is an estimate from published half-life data, not a measurement of what's in your body.

Always follow the advice of your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare provider, and get medical help if you feel unwell. In an emergency, call 10177, or 112 from a cell phone.

Who can use Tiyisa

You must be 18 or older. Tiyisa is made for people in South Africa.

Your account

An account is optional. You can make one in the app or on account.tiyisa.com, with your email address and a six-digit code: the same account works in both. If you create one, use an email address you control and keep your phone secure. Tell us at info@tiyisa.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Your information

What you enter in Tiyisa belongs to you. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights under POPIA.

Usage statistics and error reports

To keep Tiyisa working and to make it better, the app sends us anonymous usage statistics (when it's opened, which screens and features are used) and reports when something goes wrong. They never include what you log, a medicine, a symptom or anything you type, and they can't be linked to your name, email or account. We never sell them or use them for ads. They are on unless you switch them off in Settings › Privacy and your information › Help make Tiyisa better, and Tiyisa works the same either way. tiyisa.com counts visits too; its cookie is used only if you accept it. The privacy policy has the details.

Free and Plus

Everything you need to track your doses, food, movement and weight is free, including a summary every week and every month. Tiyisa Plus is an optional subscription that adds Snap your plate, your full record and your watch and phone, and Ask when it launches. On this website it costs R49 a month or R449 a year. The pricing page lists exactly what it includes.

You can buy Plus on this website, where our Terms of Sale also apply, or in the app, where Google Play or the App Store takes the payment on our behalf, under their own terms and at their prices. However you buy it, Plus follows your Tiyisa account: sign in with the same email on any phone. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel it.

Synthetiq (Pty) Ltd isn't registered for VAT, so there's no VAT on this website's prices. A feature marked "Soon" isn't part of what you pay for until it's switched on in the app. If we change a price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling and refunds

Bought on this website: stop Plus renewing at any time on My plan, and it keeps working until the end of the time you've paid for. Cancel within 7 days of your first payment and you get all of it back. The Refund and cancellation policy has the details, including yearly plans.

Bought in the app: cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions. You keep what you paid for until the end of the period, then you move back to the free features, with everything you logged. If you change your mind within 7 days of your first payment, you can have your money back. On Google Play, email info@tiyisa.com and we'll refund you in full. On the App Store, Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. After that, a period you've already paid for isn't refunded, except where the law says it must be.

Snap your plate and Ask

Snap your plate reads food from your photos, labels, words and voice notes, and Ask (when it launches) explains passages in our cited information library. Both send what you give them to an AI service outside South Africa, OpenRouter: Snap your plate with Google’s Gemini models, Ask with Anthropic or Google models. Each only with your consent, and nothing is kept, as the privacy policy explains.

These readings can be wrong. Food that Tiyisa fills in is an estimate for you to check and change. Neither feature looks at your medicines or tells you what to do about your health. Each has a fair daily limit so it stays affordable.

Using Tiyisa fairly

Please don't misuse Tiyisa. That includes trying to reach other people's data, disrupting the service, getting round daily limits, copying or reverse-engineering the app, or using it for anything unlawful.

Changes and availability

Tiyisa is new, and we keep improving it, so features may change. We work to keep it available, but we can't promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors. We'll tell you in the app, or by email if you have an account, before an important change to these terms takes effect.

Our responsibility to you

We provide Tiyisa with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for loss caused by relying on Tiyisa instead of a healthcare professional, by estimates you didn't check, or by events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for gross negligence, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Tiyisa and delete your account at any time, from Settings in the app or at tiyisa.com/delete-account. Deleting your account stops a plan bought on this website, and refunds it if you first paid within the last 7 days. It doesn't cancel a subscription bought in Google Play or the App Store, so cancel that there as well. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why where we can.

Complaints

If something isn't right, email info@tiyisa.com and we'll do our best to fix it. If we can't settle it, you can contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za) or the National Consumer Commission (thencc.org.za). Complaints about your personal information can also go to the Information Regulator, as the privacy policy explains.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
